VALDOSTA — Prince Automotive hosted their 8th annual Chevrolet Youth Baseball Clinic this Sunday, March 15. This year’s event had 155 participants, making it their largest clinic yet.

“The clinic is provided free of charge to participants through our partnership with Chevrolet. Prince Automotive donates a monetary contribution plus baseball equipment such as balls, ball bags, batting tees to the Valdosta Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Department,” Jay Prince of Prince Automotive said. “In addition, more funds can be donated to the VLPRA through test drives completed at Prince Automotive.

Prince Automotive in conjunction with Chevrolet hosts two clinics each year, one for baseball and another for soccer. Each fall, Prince Automotive donates soccer equipment like balls, soccer nets and cones to the Valdosta Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Department. This year’s soccer clinic will be held in October and is free to attend. The clinics have no age restrictions but usually have participants from ages five to 14.

“We appreciate the support we receive each year for all of our clinics. We are just proud to be able to bring a clinic of this caliber of instruction to South Georgia and by doing it at no charge to participants,” Prince said.
