VALDOSTA – The Kappa Psi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. will host its annual Project Cradle Care on Saturday, January 24.

(Valdosta, Georgia) The Kappa Psi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. will host its annual Project Cradle Care on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. It will be held at the Southwell Center, located at 1657 Carpenter Road, Tifton, Georgia.
Project Cradle Care is a Project Reassurance Healthy Generations Program that provides prenatal education and resources to new and expectant mothers and fathers. The goal of Project Cradle Care is to improve pregnancy outcomes in high-risk communities. This annual event is held each January and sponsored by alumnae chapters across the globe. It is conducted in conjunction with the March of Dimes and National Birth Defects Awareness Month.
The Project Cradle Care Chair, Deja Harris, states, “We appreciate Pastor Jamesion Hadley of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shingler, Georgia, for the sizeable diapers and wipes donation. Also, we appreciate Alpha Gamma Gamma Alumnae Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, in Valdosta, Georgia, for their collaboration and the Southwell Center of Tifton, Georgia, for allowing us to use their community center.”

Kappa Psi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was chartered in Valdosta, Georgia, on October 28, 2008. The chapter serves nine South Georgia Counties: Atkinson, Ben Hill, Berrien, Cook, Grady, Lanier, Lowndes, Thomas, and Tift. Additionally, they sponsor the Upsilon Kappa Chapter at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, the Lambda Beta Chapter at Valdosta State University, the Kappa Psi Sigma Philo Affiliate, the Kappa Psi Sigma Rhoer Affiliate, and the Kappa Psi Sigma Rhosebud Affiliate.
