VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University Interim President Cecil P. Staton and his wife, Catherine, continued a Blazer Nation tradition Thursday evening with the Lighting of the Palms on the West Hall Front Lawn.

Faculty, staff, students, alumni, retirees, and friends of the university gathered for the annual holiday event, which featured a performance by the VSU Spotlighters, a visit from Santa Blaze, and a few sweets and treats.
