VALDOSTA — The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) celebrated Dr. Richard T. Saeger’s 15 years of service on the HPC board, on April 30, at a dinner event in Downtown Valdosta. HPC members and city staff honored Dr. Saeger for his significant contributions to historic preservation in Valdosta. Dr. Saeger received a plaque and a book called “A Field Guide to American Houses” by Virginia McAlester, in which members and staff signed with small anecdotes and memories. Thank you, Dr. Saeger!
