VALDOSTA – One man is in police custody in Valdosta after allegedly robbing the Southwest Georgia Bank.
At 3:54 p.m. on Friday, the 911 center received a call that the bank was being robbed. The suspect got in a car and fled the scene when a passing motorist saw the car and followed the vehicle until Valdosta Police and Lowndes County were able to intervene.
A felony traffic stop was completed in the Smoking Pig parking lot where the offender was taken into custody.
