LOWNDES Co. (WCTV Eyewitness News) – The Georgia State Patrol is investigating after school bus crash on I-75 on Monday afternoon.

GSP reports that the crash occurred at exit 16 southbound in Lowndes County.
Thirteen students were transported to South Georgia Medical Center for medical treatment, according to a statement from Lowndes County Schools.
One student is in critical condition at this time, according to GSP.
Lowndes County Schools reports that the bus involved, Bus 0908, was transferring Lowndes High students to Lowndes Middle School.
LCS says the injured students were transported to South Georgia Medical Center. Uninjured students were taken to Lowndes Middle School to be picked up by their parents.
Authorities have not yet released the cause of the crash or confirmed whether other vehicles may have been involved.
All southbound lanes were blocked following the crash but have since reopened.
