ATLANTA – Valdosta Early College Academy eleventh graders traveled to Atlanta on Thursday, April 28, thanks to the generosity of the Valdosta North Rotary Club and their Teacher of the Year Award to Traci Jones, VECA ELA teacher.

The students were treated to a special student performance of the professional musical, “Born for This,” enjoyed a question and answer session with the cast, got to chat and pose with a cast member, then toured the High Museum of Art.

At the end of the day, the students simply said, “Thank you, Mrs. Jones.” But at the end of the day, Mrs, Jones simply wants to say, “Thank you, Rotary Club.”
