VALDOSTA –  Lowndes High School student Maram Abuayyah has been selected as a member of the Georgia Department of Education‘s Inaugural Star ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) Learner Cadre.  

Maram selected Joy Cowart as her Star ESOL Teacher. Maram and Mrs. Cowart were recognized by State Superintendent Richard Woods at a special reception in Atlanta on Wednesday.
