VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Stadium Cinemas 16 will premiere two new movies Thursday night.

The Revenant (R) starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy is inspired by true events and follows the life of “a frontiersman named Hugh Glass on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s is on a quest for survival after being brutally mauled by a bear.”

Showtimes for The Revenant are at 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

The Forest (PG-13) stars “Game of Thrones” actress Natalie Dormer as “a young woman searches for her twin sister in a Japanese forest only to find herself surrounded by paranormal forces.”

Showtimes for The Forest are at 7:45 p.m. and 10 p.m.
