NASHVILLE — The Berrien County Chamber of Commerce, Nashville Main Street, and Berrien County VFW Post 5978 have partnered to bring The Wall That Heals, a 250 foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to Berrien County. The Wall That Heals will be on display at the Berrien County VFW Post 5978, located at 801 Tifton Highway, beginning November 11th and closing at noon on November 14th.

The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces during the Vietnam War and its walls bear the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is the most visited memorial in our Nation’s Capital, with more than four million visitors each year.

The opening ceremony for the Wall That Heals will take place on Veteran’s Day, November 11th at 11 am at the Berrien County VFW Post. The ceremony will include special remarks from Col. Thomas E Kunkel, Commander of the 23rd Wing at Moody Air Force Base. Lt. General Joe Redden (USAF, retired) will serve as the keynote speaker for the ceremony. General Redden is a former Vice Commander of the 347th Tactical Fighter Wing at Moody AFB. General Redden served three combat tours during the Vietnam War. Each tour was one year. The Wall That Heals will be open 24 hours a day beginning November 11th through noon on November 14th.
