Joe Rodgers, Chief Executive Officer of the Waffle House chain, openly criticized many of the restrictions being put on businesses due to the Coronavirus pandemic. As reported by AJC, one of the bigger recent statutes he disagrees with is the forced closure of dine-in for restaurants in some cities. Rodgers implores Georgia officials not to do similar. He believes it would be more advantageous to allow business to set their own social distancing policies. Despite Rodgers complaints Waffle House is now offering a take-out option in areas where dine-in has been restricted.
