The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has updated its plan of action for the upcoming 2020-2021 academic year. Following a Board of Regents vote, the majority of junior college sports competition will be moved from the fall to the spring semester.

Close-contact fall sports to be moved will include football, soccer and court volleyball. Cross country and half marathon championships will retain their original schedule, as well as Division III women’s tennis.

Winter sports, including basketball, wrestling, swimming and diving, will start in January with the majority of championship seasons moved from March to April.

Spring sports, including baseball, softball, beach volleyball, golf, lacrosse, track & field and tennis, will only see minor date adjustments.
