THOMASVILLE, GA — Sophomore Midfielder Jake Slocombe of Bristol, England was named the Sun Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week as he helped lead NAIA #18 Thomas University to a 1-0-1 2014 regular season opening weekend.

Slocombe was named TSC Offensive Player of the week as he netted the game winner against #14 William Carey, completing a 2-1 come from behind victory in TU’s season opener. Slocombe extended his solid play during Sunday’s game as TU tied #32 Northwestern Ohio in Hattiesburg, MS. 3-3 in double overtime match.
