The Florida Education Association (FEA) have filed a motion to delay the opening of public school campuses as COVID-19 cases are increasing statewide.

Attorneys for FEA will meet with a judge (online) Wednesday to ask for a delay in the start of in-person classes.

Additionally, the FEA filed a lawsuit against Florida’s Governor, Commissioner, Department of Education and more. The suit was filed after the education commissioner, Richard Corcoran, placed an emergency order mandating school districts to have an option of in-person classes for 5 days a week.

Details on the lawsuit can be found HERE.
