Valdosta man arrested by VPD for narcotics during traffic stop

VALDOSTA – A Valdosta man was arrested by the Valdosta Police Department for narcotics during a no seatbelt traffic stop.

Arrested: Charles Handsome Mosely, African American male, 48 years of age, Valdosta resident

On January 28, 2025, at approximately 1:50 p.m., detectives with the Valdosta Police Department Narcotics Unit observed a vehicle traveling in the 1300 block of North Ashley Street, occupied by a passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt.  Detectives conducted a traffic stop on the car and contacted Charles Handsome Mosely, 48, a passenger in the vehicle.  Mosely was found to have an active arrest
warrant, so detectives took him into custody.  Detectives found approximately 39 Tramadol pills in his
possession.

Mosely was transported to Lowndes County Jail.  Along with his active arrest warrant, Mosely has also
been charged with possession of a schedule IV-controlled substance (felony).
