VALDOSTA – The VPD Traffic Unit along with assistance from other law enforcement conducted another successful traffic enforcement effort.

On Friday and Saturday nights, members of the Valdosta Police Department Traffic Unit, with the assistance of the Power Squad and the K9 Unit, conducted a second traffic enforcement concentrated
patrol.  This concentrated patrol was targeting speeding and other traffic complaints the department had
received.  During this effort, officers conducted over 115 traffic stops.  These traffic stops resulted in over
67 citations and 51 traffic warnings being issued, along with two arrests made.  Speeding accounted for the predominant number of citations issued.
