FITZGERALD – The GBI releases an update on the victim of a shooting in Fitzgerald that is currently being investigated.

UPDATE:

The victim, Terrance Shelton, age 33, of Fitzgerald, GA, died on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at about 3:00 a.m.  

 ORIGINAL RELEASE:

At the request of the Fitzgerald Police Department, GBI agents are investigating a shooting incident that left a Fitzgerald man shot and critically injured. 

The investigation shows that on Friday, April 12, 2024, the Fitzgerald Police Department responded to East Pine Street, in reference to 911 “shots fired” calls.  When officers arrived, they found a man injured from gunshot wounds. EMS personnel took the man to a local hospital for medical treatment. The victim is currently listed in critical condition.
