VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Fire Department is investigating a structure fire of a single-family home on Vallotton Drive.

On Saturday, March 2, 2024, at approximately 2:05 AM, the Valdosta Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 812 Vallotton Drive. The first fire unit arrived within four minutes to find the front of a single-family dwelling heavily involved in fire. A total of 13 fire personnel responded to the scene and quickly brought the fire under control. An aggressive search of the residence confirmed that the occupant was not home at the time of the incident. As a result of the fire, a resident was displaced and is receiving assistance from the Red Cross.

Valdosta Fire Department investigators along with assistance from the State of Georgia Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.

The Valdosta Police Department and South Georgia Health EMS assisted on scene.
