VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Fire Department recently hosted a leadership seminar for multi-agencies in the area.

The Valdosta Fire Department proudly hosted a multi-agency leadership seminar on Monday, February 13, 2024, at the Lowndes County Emergency Operations Center. Firefighters from Thomasville Fire Rescue, Tifton Fire Department, Remerton Fire Department, Lowndes County Fire Rescue, and Moody Air Force Base Fire Department attended the seminar, making it a collaborative and enriching experience for all involved.
The seminar, meticulously crafted by Captain Todd Edwards, a renowned expert in fire ground operations and officer development, proved to be an empowering and transformative event. Participants had the exclusive opportunity to glean insights from Captain Edwards’ extensive experience, which included authoring comprehensive training programs and delivering impactful talks at national conferences and departments nationwide.
Lieutenant Keith Niehanke, who organized the seminar, expressed his enthusiasm for the event. He stated, “This seminar was a unique opportunity for firefighters from various agencies to unite and enhance their leadership abilities. Captain Edwards’ expertise and guidance have undoubtedly left a lasting impact on all attendees.”
