VALDOSTA – The ‘Love Downtown Valdosta’ is a month-long promotion encouraging citizens to explore and support local downtown businesses.

On Thursday, February 1, Valdosta Main Street will launch the ‘Love Downtown Valdosta’ campaign, a month-long promotion aimed at encouraging citizens to explore and support the local downtown businesses. The campaign will run from February 1 to February 28, offering participants the chance to win exciting prizes.

The campaign, spearheaded by Valdosta Main Street emphasizes the diverse offerings of downtown Valdosta, encompassing shopping, leisure, dining, and entertainment.

“By choosing to shop at local businesses, shoppers have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their city while enjoying one-of-a-kind experiences that cannot be found anywhere else. Whether it’s a unique gift, a delicious meal, or a memorable activity, downtown has something for everyone. So why not show some love for your city and its local businesses by shopping downtown today,” said Main Street Manager Kym Hughes.

Here’s how citizens can participate:

• Spend $25 or more: Starting February 1, every purchase of $25 or more at downtown shops and restaurants qualifies participants.
• Upload Receipts: Participants can upload their receipts using the link http://tinyurl.com/downtownlove or by scanning the provided QR code.
• Multiple Chances to Win: Each validated entry automatically enters participants into five different giveaways throughout the month.
  • Weekly $50 Gift Card Giveaway: Every Monday in February, one lucky winner will be drawn for a $50 gift card, redeemable at a downtown business of their choice.
  • Grand Prize – $200 Downtown Dollars: On March 1, the campaign will culminate with the grand prize drawing, where one fortunate participant will win $200 in Downtown Dollars, and a special “Valentines” treat.
