VPD make arrest for stolen vehicle and drugs

VALDOSTA – A 30-year-old Valdosta resident was pulled over in a vehicle that had been reported stolen, and found to be in possession of drugs.

On August 3, 2022, at approximately 8:41 am., a Valdosta Police Department Patrol Officer observed a vehicle in the 1800 block of Marion Street, that had been reported stolen. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with Terrell Mobley, who was driving the vehicle. While investigating the stolen vehicle, officers found that Mobley had approximately 3.35 grams of Alpha PVP on him, which was packaged for sales. Mobley also had a misdemeanor amount of marijuana in his possession. Mobley also had six (6), unrelated active arrest warrants for his arrest.

Mobley was transported to Lowndes County Jail, where he was charged with not only the outstanding arrest warrants but also:

  • Possession of a schedule I narcotic with the intent to distribute-felony;
  • Possession of marijuana-misdemeanor;
  • Possession of drug-related items-misdemeanor; and
  • Second offense driving while license is suspended-misdemeanor of high and aggravated nature.

The motor vehicle theft is still under investigation and further charges may be pending.
