Release:

On January 12, 2021 at approximately 3:54am, patrol officers with Valdosta Police Department responded to the 1300 block of North St. Augustine Road (Waffle House), after receiving a 911 call about a vehicle in the parking lot containing a bomb. When officers arrived on scene, they observed a subject, later identified as Michael Heard using his cell phone and live streaming on a social media platform. After speaking with witnesses and gathering evidence it was determined that Heard had contacted 911 and made the false bomb threat. Heard was arrested and transported to Lowndes County Jail. Heard was charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts (Felony).
