Drug arrest made in Valdosta

On January 2, 2021, at approximately 1:17 am, a patrol officer with Valdosta Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block East Hill Avenue. The passenger, later identified as Dennis Meyer Jr was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Berrien County. Meyer was arrested and searched before being transported to jail. Meyer was found to have the following items in his possession: Cocaine, Amphetamine, Dextroamphetamine, Methylphenidate, Alprazolam, and Methamphetamine. Meyer also had several items, which are commonly used in the sale and distribution of narcotics. Meyer was transported to Lowndes County Jail and charged with possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute (Felony), possession of a schedule II-controlled substance (Felony), possession of a schedule II-controlled substance (Felony), possession of a schedule IV controlled substance (Felony) Possession of tools for commission of a crime (Felony), possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute (Felony).
