Suspect in Adel WH shooting escapes hospital

According to the GBI Douglas Office, Dexter Simmons, wanted for his involvement with a shooting at an Adel, GA Waffle House on Oct. 24, has escaped from the Tift Regional Hospital in Tifton and is currently on the run.

While hospitalized, warrants for Simmons were obtained for one count of Aggravated Assault and one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Additionally, Corby Traylor, 38, of Adel, remains on the run and faces warrants for the same charges.
