Valdosta Fire Dept. responds to structure fire on Charlton Street

On Wednesday, August 12, 2020, the Valdosta Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 910 Charlton Street. The call was received from dispatch at 9:58 A.M. The first fire unit arrived within three minutes to find smoke and flames extending from a window on the front corner of the residence. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters.

Searches of the structure revealed that no one was inside of this vacant and condemned home. There were no injuries reported.

A total of seventeen VFD personnel responded to the scene. This fire remains under investigation by the Valdosta Fire Department Fire Prevention Division.
