On Thursday, August 27, the railroad crossing at Northside Drive and Jaycee Shack Road will be closed. Detours will be directed via traffic control and devices until construction is completed. According to the City of Valdosta Facebook page, Southworks Construction are set to begin work Thursday at 7:00 AM and, if the weather permits, finish that evening. However, the crossing is scheduled to reopen Friday.
