A-10 makes emergency landing at Moody AFB

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — An Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II assigned to the 75th Fighter Squadron made an emergency landing here without its landing gear extended April 7, 2020.

The aircraft was conducting a routine training mission when the pilot declared an in-flight emergency.

The aircraft had one person aboard and landed on the primary runway. The pilot was not injured and evaluated by flight surgeons before release.

An Interim Safety Board will investigate the incident.
