On Saturday, March 21, 2020, the Valdosta Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 805 Lausanne Dr. The call came in from dispatch at 6:43 p.m. The first fire unit arrived within two minutes to find smoke coming from the roof line of the residence. Fire crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control. VPD and SGMC EMS assisted on scene. The cause of the fire was determined to be unattended cooking.

Four occupants were displaced and will be staying with family. No injuries were reported.
