VALDOSTA – After every dog at the Lowndes County Animal Shelter was either rescued or adopted earlier this week, staff are hoping the shelter’s 15 cats will be adopted during a special event.

Cat adoptions will be half off Thursday for Cinco de Meow. The first five adopters will receive free pizza from Pizza Hut.

The event will be held from noon until 5 p.m. Thursday at the Lowndes County Animal Shelter at 337 Gil Harbin Industrial Boulevard.
