VALDOSTA – CJB Industries, Inc. and District Attorney J. David Miller present the 17th Annual Children’s Advocacy Center’s Sporting Clay Shoot for Saturday, February 27, 2016.  The CAC’s largest fundraiser will take place at Southwind Clays & Quail Preserve. This annual event brings together supporters of the non-profit agency and highlights the community’s commitment to assisting the sexually and physically abused children of our area. Typically about 40, five-person teams compete in a multiple clay shooting event featuring great prizes for winning teams and top individual shooters. Family and friends are able to spend a day of fun outdoors participating in raffles, teal and flurry events and enjoying breakfast and lunch.

Paige Dukes, Chairperson for the Children’s Advocacy Center’s Board of Directors said, “the CAC provides a service in our community, like no other.  Accredited and autonomous, the Center strives daily to meet the needs of public safety while focusing on moving abused children and their families to a place of hope and healing.  Proceeds from events like the clay shoot, guarantee these vital services continue.  Aside from a fundraiser, this event is also a great opportunity to learn more about the CAC and other educational opportunities related to preventing child abuse.“

Sponsorship opportunities and team submissions are now available for businesses and individuals who are interested in supporting the CAC’s mission to prevent child abuse and minimize the trauma of child victims in Lowndes, Lanier, Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Echols counties.
