VALDOSTA — Valdosta Police are pleased to report the seizure of thousands of dollars in illegal drugs.
A Valdosta Police Department Narcotics Unit investigation led to the seizure of over 1,369.3 grams of marijuana with a street value of over $27,000.00.
The Narcotics unit received intelligence that a delivery of marijuana was going to be made in Valdosta. Narcotics Detectives apprehended Shaneisha Frazier, 27, and D’Cota Washington, 23, who had picked up the marijuana.
Both Frazier and Washington were arrested without incident and transported to the Lowndes County Jail where they are being held pending judicial procedures.
Frazier was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute while Washington was charged with party to the crime of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
“This was a great arrest by our Narcotics Unit who prevented illegal drugs from being distributed on the streets of our city”, stated Chief Brian Childress.
