ALBANY — A man was shot and injured last night behind the Downtown Albany Welcome Center.

On Sunday morning, around 1:45 a.m., 23-year-old Alexander Denevious Harris was walking behind the building when shots were fired. Harris fled the scene and ran to Red Dining Restaurant.

Upon arrival at the restaurant Harris realized he had been shot twice. He received bullet wounds to his lower back and to his leg.

Albany Police are investigating at this time.
