DOUGLAS — A Coffee County jail employee violated his Oath of Office by having sex with an inmate.

On Tuesday, 53-year-old James Dixon was arrested after he was caught engaging in sex on video surveillance.

Dixon was arrested and charged with one count of violating his Oath of Office and three counts of Sexual Assault by Persons with Supervisory or Disciplinary Authority. He has been fired from his position.

Dixon was released the same day on a $40,000 bond.
