AMERICUS – Americus Police officials are searching for a man after he ran a stop sign and fled the scene.

The man, 27-year-old Travis Cook fled the scene by foot and ran into the woods. Police recovered large quantities of marijuana in Cook’s car.

Cook has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and attempting to elude police. He could receive additional felony traffic charges.
