The Tift County School system received a bomb threat this morning. All of the schools in the system have been evacuated at this time.
According to the Tift County Public School Facebook, the schools are still evacuated and law enforcement is on campus.
They also posted, “We understand some parents may want to pick their children up from school. The reason we ask you not to do that is during emergencies, it is crucial that we are able to account for each of our students and know exactly where they are. We can’t do that if parents are attempting to check their students out. Please know everything we are doing is to keep your children as safe as possible.”
Any updates regarding the bomb threats can be found on their Facebook page.
