ALBANY – A Lee County man, wanted for Bond Revocation, crashed his SUV into a power pole resulting in a fiery explosion.

The driver, still at large, hit a fire hydrant and power pole which ignited his green Ford Expedition into a blaze.  The incident occurred on Lovers Lane Road in Lee County early Sunday morning.

The driver has been identified as Jeffrey Ranew by police.  Once found, the driver will be charged with failure to maintain land and leaving the scene of an accident.

The incident created power outages in the area which were repaired by Georgia Power crews.
