ALBANY — A former Albany Police officer was killed in a domestic dispute on Sunday.

Habersham County Sheriff officers, Joey Terrell and Deputy Bill Zigan responded to reports of a domestic dispute between former police officer, Anthony Giaquanta and his ex-wife.

Giaquanta shot his ex-wife and her friend, then shot Terrell and Zigan.

The investigation is ongoing at this time. It is unknown whether Giaquanta killed himself or if he was killed by the officers.

Sheriff Terrell and Zigan are expected to make full recoveries.
