VALDOSTA – Newbern Middle School students heard from nearly 80 guest speakers during their fall career day.

School counselors, Jennifer Williams and William Hollimon, along with other teachers and staff coordinated with community members to secure nearly 80 guest speakers for the day. Guests were personally greeted and thanked by Valdosta City Schools superintendent, Dr. William Todd Cason, and Newbern Middle School principal, Mr. Rick Thomas.

There were representatives from various career fields present. Participants shared their professional experiences and responsibilities with the students. Students and teachers found the presentations to be interactive and inspiring.
