THOMASVILLE — The Queen of southern cooking pays a visit to a Thomasville restaurant.

Saturday afternoon Paula Deen attended the grand opening of Sass (Sweet and Savory Sisters). Attendees got to enjoy open beer and wine bar as well great southern cuisine. Paula is a family friend to sisters and owners Amy and Suzette. They’ve been trying to open a restaurant for ten years and are happy to finally see their dream come to life.

“This is a new place for people to come and make lots of memories, lots of birthdays. We have these huge rooms for people to celebrate. We’re just excited. It’s just the buzz all over Thomasville. Why not be here,” said Amy and Suzette.

All the money raised will benefit the Easter Seals Vocational program and Paula Deen’s the Bag Lady Foundation.
