Valdosta City Schools:

S.L. Mason Elementary Trailblazers in third, fourth and fifth grades recently learned about force and motion by testing toy cars on various ramps covered in multiple surfaces types.

Kameron Jefferson, Jalen Brooks, Jamiracle Jackson, Derek Rojas, and Kalileigh Bradley worked together to determine which ramp and surface seemed to work best.

Trailblazers is a compacted curriculum class for students with gifts or talents who have needs that are met in this setting. Logic puzzles, extension projects, and “splits- math and science classes based on need” are provided for students twice a week.
