Decatur woman involved in fraudulent insurance company wanted for Theft

A warrant has been issued for a Decatur woman wanted for Theft in connection with fraudulent insurance company.

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced that a warrant has been issued for Kamaria Berry, 28, of Decatur, for one count of Theft by Deception. The suspect is wanted in connection with a Rockdale County case.

“The suspect was involved in the case against Dirt-Cheap Insurance,” said Commissioner King. “Ms. Berry allowed Deamarkis Barber to use her Cash App, connected to her bank account, to facilitate the exchange of funds for an insurance policy with the fraudulent company.”

The warrant was issued on December 28th by a Dekalb County Judge.
