Governor Brian Kemp recently signed into law Senate Bill 359, which provides liability protection for certain organizations, such as businesses and healthcare providers, from COVID-19 related lawsuits. The purpose of SB 359, as reported by AJC, is to prevent claims of negligence against companies following the health protocols as defined by public health officials. Customers and employees able to provide suitable evidence of neglect by a company will still be able to file claims.
