Release:

Waynesville, Ga (July 20, 2020) – On Sunday, July 19, 2020, at approximately 11:15 AM, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Brantley County Sheriff’s Office to assist in a death investigation.  Earlier that morning, Gladys Sparre, age 79, was found deceased at her residence located at 1680 Stafford Road, Waynesville, Georgia. 

An autopsy has been conducted and is pending results of further forensic testing and investigative actions.  Sparre was last seen at her residence on the afternoon of Friday, July 17, 2020.  Anyone with information pertaining to this investigation is urged to contact the Brantley County Sheriff’s Office at 912-462-6141 or the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Kingsland Office at 912-729-6198. 

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
