ATLANTA, GA – Lt. Sharoone Annette Steed is facing felony charges after accusations of hitting a fellow officer with her vehicle and biting him, according to an AJC report.

The incident happened at a Wells Fargo bank location on Friday afternoon. Steed was approaching the bank in her personal car while fellow officer, Joel Paul Curtis Richardson, was assisting with traffic. Steed reportedly refused to comply with Richardson’s orders and ended up striking him with her car.

After being struck, Richardson then tried to remove Steed from her vehicle, resulting in her biting his hand, according to the accusation. It was at this point that Steed identified herself as a police officer.

Atlanta Police supervisors and an investigator were called to the scene. Warrants were obtained against Steed for aggravated assault, battery, obstruction and violation of oath by a public officer. She was placed on administrative leave and then turned herself in to the Fulton County Jail on Tuesday. Steed is currently in custody without bond.
