Child Rapist Released “In Error” Sought in Georgia

FORSYTH, GA – On October 25, 2019, at approximately 11:30 a.m., inmate Tony Maycon Munoz-Mendez was released “in error” from Rogers State Prison in Reidsville.

Munoz-Mendez, 31, was convicted of rape and aggravated child molestation in Gwinnett County and began a life term in April 2015.

According to a statement released by the Georgia Department of Corrections, all resources are being utilized to ensure the rapid apprehension of Munoz-Mendez, including the GDOC Fugitive Unit and US Marshals. The public is reminded to call 911, and do not approach.
