Release:

Following the community trend, the number of positive COVID 19 cases in Lowndes County Schools is declining. Over the past 7 days, we have received reports of 141 positive COVID 19 cases compared to 271 positive cases the week before. Our positive cases represent 1.17% of 12,057 staff and students.  According to the latest Department of Public Health data released, the percentage of county residents confirmed positive during the same period is .265%. This represents the lowest number of positive cases since the start of the 2021- 2022 school year.

We will continue to implement measures to mitigate the spread of COVID 19 while providing a safe learning environment for our staff and students.
