Release:

On Sunday, March 22, 2020, the Valdosta Fire Department responded to two large residential structure fires at 3217 and 3225 Wingfield Way. The call came in from dispatch at 5:23 a.m. Firefighters arrived on scene in less than four minutes and found fire coming from the two structures. The fires were quickly extinguished.

Before firefighters arrived, The occupants were alerted by a neighbor. Searches of the burning structures revealed no one inside of either home. Three people were displaced as a result of the incident.

There was a total of 21 VFD Personnel on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
