ATLANTA – A new study ranks Georgia in the top 10 states most likely to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day.

A new study has revealed that California is the state most likely to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day.
Gifting experts at Unifury analyzed the peak monthly Google searches for 487 search terms related to Mother’s Day from the past year to see which state is most likely to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day.
1. California – 12,618 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents
California tops the list of the states most likely to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day, with 12,618 peak monthly searches related to Mother’s Day per 100,000 residents. This is 24.1% above the national average of 10,168 peak monthly searches related to Mother’s Day per 100,000 residents.
The most searched Mother’s Day-related keyword in California was Mother’s Day, with 1,500,000 peak monthly searches. Happy Mother’s Day was next, with 823,000 peak monthly searches, tied with Mother’s Day 2023, also with 823,000 peak monthly searches.
2. New York – 12,190 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents
New York is the second most likely state to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day, with 12,190 peak monthly searches related to Mother’s Day per 100,000 residents, 19.9% more than the national average.
The most searched Mother’s Day-related keyword in New York was Mother’s Day, with 673,000 peak monthly searches. Per 100,000 residents, New York searched the most for “Mother’s Day flowers,” with 2.9 searches per 100,000, and second most for “best gifts for new moms,” with 4.1 searches per 100,000; Massachusetts was first with 4.7 searches per 100,000 residents.
3. Nevada – 12,145 monthly searches per 100,000 residents
Nevada is the third most likely state to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day. Peak monthly searches related to Mother’s Day were 19.5% higher than the national average, with 12,145 monthly searches relating to Mother’s Day per 100,000 residents.
4. Texas – 11,838 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents
With 11,838 peak monthly searches for topics related to Mother’s Day per 100,000 residents, Texas ranks fourth. Texas’s peak monthly searches are 18.9% higher than the national average.
5. Florida – 11,606 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents
Florida is the fifth most likely state to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day, with 11,606 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents. Peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents in the Sunshine State were 16.4% higher than the national average.
6. Maryland – 11,606 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents
Maryland is sixth, with 11,606 peak monthly searches for terms related to Mother’s Day. This is 14.2% above the national average for peak monthly searches related to Mother’s Day per 100,000 residents.
7. Colorado – 11,425 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents
Colorado is seventh most likely to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day, with 11,425 peak monthly searches related to Mother’s Day. The Centennial State’s searches sit 12.4% above the national average.
8. New Jersey – 11,410 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents
With 11,410 peak monthly searches, New Jersey is the eighth most likely state to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day. Peak monthly searches in the Garden State are 12.2% above the national average.
9. Georgia – 11,329 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents
Georgia is ninth most likely to spoil their mom this Mother’s Day, with 11,329 peak monthly searches related to Mother’s Day per 100,000 residents, 11.4% higher than the national average.
10. Arizona – 11,159 peak monthly searches per 100,000 residents
Rounding out the top 10 is Arizona, with 11,159 peak monthly searches related to Mother’s Day per 100,000 residents. The Grand Canyon state’s peak monthly searches related to Mother’s Day were 9.8% above the national average.
