Lowndes Provides Food Resources While School’s Closed

Share with friends

VALDOSTA, Ga.— There are a number of students who are not able to afford three healthy meals a day and thereby depend on school meals for a balanced diet. To make sure these students from local and surrounding counties still have that access, Lowndes County Schools has released a listing of places providing meals for free. All listed are Drive-Thru events.

Press Release:

Recognizing many students eat two meals a day at school, Lowndes County Schools is sharing information from community members who are providing food to students and their families during the school closure. Please see the attached document!

Minimizing contact is key in managing COVID19; therefore, these are all Drive-Thru events. Stay in your car and you will be given a bag of food.
