Valid VSU ID Required to Enter Odum Library After 10 pm

Front-Lawn-ArchVALDOSTA, GA — Beginning Aug. 4, a valid Valdosta State University identification card will be required to enter Odum Library after 10 p.m. This access change is in concert with the university’s commitment to increased security on campus.

Access via the north entrance doors will be by card-swipe only between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and access via the south entrance doors will be by card-swipe only between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Sunday through Friday.

Faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students should not have any problems gaining access to the library during operating hours, both before and after 10 p.m.

Please note that the library is only open till 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

VSU’s Odum Library hours remain unchanged and can be found online by visiting http://www.valdosta.edu/academics/library/general/about/hours-of-operation.php.

There are no changes to library access for anyone, including members of the general public conducting research, before 10 p.m.
